Dear Scholarship Applicant,

We would like to congratulate you on taking the initiative to apply for the Pursuit of
Excellence Scholarship.  This activity itself proves you are willing to take the steps
needed to improve your future and achieve your goals.

The Pursuit of Excellence scholarship program is an investment in recipients that have a
"can do attitude."  The Pursuit of Excellence scholarship is not awarded for the best
grades, the best bronc rider, or for receiving the most awards in showmanship.  It is an
investment in the candidates that have a history of self-improvement and that have a
desire to better themselves and the communities in which they live.  the Pursuit of
Excellence Scholarship rewards a "can do" philosophy, which continually works on
improving life skills, scholastically, personally, and athletically.

This scholarship fund is directly tied to the "Everybody Wins" Trophy Awards program.
Thanks to the support of people like you, Montana Silversmiths along with our Preferred
Trophy Headquarters Partners can achieve our goal by giving back and investing in our
future leaders.  Those who are continually working to improve themselves.

This scholarship will be awarded for efforts in self-improvement, setting and achieving
goals, being involved in western way of life, possessing strong sportsmanship skills and
being involved in your community.  The "Pursuit of Excellence " as a character trait is
everlasting...it demonstrates the ability to renew oneself continually and to overcome the
obstacles that affects learning from these experiences.

A scholarship selection committee will review all of the scholarship applications.  The
committee will establish at that time the number of scholarships and the amount for
distribution.  During the selection process the committee will evaluate applicants and
confirm that they meet the criteria, at which time the committee will determine the
recipient of each award.
