2008 ALQHA Criteria


 

ALQHA

Class / Reserve Class Champions:
A minimum of 10 state points must be earned in a given event by the same horse / exhibitor to qualify for the year-end award for that event. 

All-Around / Reserve All-Around Champions:

Totaled points in all open classes / Points must have been earned in at least 3 AQHA categories. 

Overall High Point Awards:
Four (4) special awards will be presented to the overall high point stallion, mare, and gelding and to the overall high point halter horse with the title, stallion, mare, or gelding of the year, and high point halter horse of the year.  Points will accumulate in any and all events for the stallion, mare and gelding award, with at least 5 of these points being in halter. The overall high point halter horse award will go to the halter horse earning the most state points.   

Point standings for the year-end high point winners will be calculated from January 1 - December 31 of the calendar year.

In order to be eligible for year end awards, both the owner and exhibitor(s) of the horse must be current year members of the ALQHA.  Year end points will begin counting upon payment of current year membership dues.


ALAQHA

Class / Reserve Class Champions:

All-Around Amateur and Reserve All-Around Amateur Award:
A minimum of five state amateur halter points
A minimum of ten state points in at least two amateur performance categories (10 points per class)

All-Around Select Amateur and Reserve Select Amateur Award:
A minimum of five state amateur halter points
A minimum of ten state points in at least two select amateur performance events (10 points per class)

All-Around Novice Amateur and Reserve All-Around Novice Amateur Award: A minimum of ten state points in at least three novice amateur performance events (10 points per class)

Point standings for the year-end high point winners will be calculated from January 1 - December 31 of the calendar year.
